Improper Integrals

What's the area under 1/x² from x = 1 all the way to infinity? The region is infinitely long — surely the area is infinite. Surprisingly, no: it's exactly 1. Some infinite shapes have finite area; some don't. The integral either converges or diverges, and calculus tells you which.
