Initial Value Problems

Solve a first-order equation and you get a whole family of curves, stacked by the constant +C. But reality usually has ONE answer: the population started at 50, the coffee started at 90°. An initial condition — one known point the solution must pass through — fixes C and selects exactly one curve. Equation plus starting point is an initial value problem.
