Tools of the ancients
Euclid built all of geometry with just two tools: a compass (to copy a length) and a straightedge (to draw a line). No ruler markings, no protractor. Yet from these he constructed perfect equilateral triangles, split any angle in half, and erected perpendiculars. The wonder isn't that it works — it's WHY it works.
