Equations of Circles

A circle is the set of all points a fixed distance (the radius) from a center. That single sentence is a definition — and with the distance formula, it becomes an equation. Once a circle is an equation, you can graph it, find where it crosses a line, and combine it with other shapes using pure algebra.
