Line Integrals

An ordinary integral adds up values along a straight axis. But the real world is curvy: you walk a mountain trail, a wire bends through space, a charged particle spirals through a field. A line integral sums a quantity as you move along a curve C — totaling mass along a bent wire, or measuring how much a force helps you as you travel a path.
