Computing Partial Derivatives

Here's the relief: computing a partial derivative uses ZERO new differentiation rules. The power rule, product rule, chain rule — all of them still apply. The only shift is mental: when you take ∂/∂x, you treat y as if it were a plain number like 7. Differentiate with respect to x, and anything that's purely y just sits there as a constant.
