Circuits and Ohm's Law

Flip a switch and a light comes on instantly. Behind that wall, electrons are flowing through copper like water through a pipe. A battery does the pushing, the wire offers a path, and the device in between drinks up the energy. Three quantities describe it all — and they're locked together by one of the simplest laws in physics.
