Conditional Probability

You're told a card drawn from a deck is a face card. What's the chance it's a king now? It just shot up. Learning that B happened shrinks the world to only the outcomes where B is true — and probabilities have to be recalculated inside that smaller world. That recalculated chance is conditional probability, written P(A|B): 'the probability of A, given B'.
